Difahamkan, bahagian mekanikal untuk Serena baharu ini tiada perubahan berbanding model terdahulu. Ia masih mengekalkan enjin 2.0 liter (MR20DD) CVTC Berkembar (Kawalan Pemasaan Injap-Pemboleh Ubah Berterusan Berkembar) dipadankan dengan kotak gear XTRONIC CVT dan Kawalan Syif Adaptif (ASC).
